Jeffrey Epstein (January 20, 1953-August 10, 2019), a well-known multi-millionaire who was accused and found guilty of a sex ring involving children and adults (“Who Is Jeffrey Epstein” 1). Was discovered dead in a jail cell due to an apparent "suicide"(Barret 1). The upper-class celebrity had strong connections with people that not even most countries had. Epstein owned a private island as well as numerous mansions across the country and abroad. It was rumored that well-known celebrities would fly out to Epstein's private island and commit the most heinous crimes against children there. So, it appears that these celebrities would be wise to dispose of the main evidence and assassinate Jeffrey Epstein while he is still in jail before the FBI can obtain any information from him. But conveniently, Jeffrey Epstein decides to hang himself before being questioned about the evidence discovered on his island and in his various mansions (Washington Post 1). There was a very suspicious list of high-ranking celebrities such as “Steven Spielberg, Tom Hanks Steven Colbert, Jimmy Kimmel, Barack Obama” (Cook 1).
This shortlist is in his many names found in his black book that was confiscated by the FBI, these are some of the most powerful people in the United States, and they may have some connections to people who can take someone out especially when they are vulnerable in jail. So, did he commit suicide in his monitored jail cell, or was he murdered by the actions of one of his powerful friends?
Jeffrey Epstein could be called nothing less than hubris, charismatic (Stewart 1), ( (Basu 1). Everything he did in his life revolved around these traits, from how he acted in public with people, to when he was alone with people, and when he would force the young girls to do things no girls should ever have done at that age (Stewart 1), (Basu 1). His actions had everything to do with the way his friends described him and his enemies. From his charming and charismatic ways of entertaining people and befriending them, or when he was boastful and prideful to showing his friends or foes or little innocent girls that he was powerful. These traits would combine to lead to his final characteristic of a sociopath. This is the most dangerous one because once he uses his charm to lure in the innocent and weak; he shows them the power he holds with his vast amounts of money (Villanova 1). Then his sociopathic behavior causes him to continue this cycle repeatedly until he finally gets caught and put in jail.
One of Jeffrey Epstein many traits and a vital one that helped him commit most of his crimes was his charming and charisma that he would use to manipulate powerful people and these young girls into his sex ring. When he was convicted after he came back from a flight in France, authorities found out "He conspired with others "including employees and associates" who helped schedule encounters at his Manhattan mansion and Palm Beach residence, it is alleged.” (BBC 1). Almost all his friends admit that he has a very formidable social life. The powerful friends he has, he uses his money and his charismatic and social skills to manipulate these celebrities and politicians to think he is a good guy. Then once they become close friends the favors never end. These people will go so far to help him just because he knows how to start a conversation and be a likeable person.
He was also described as a proud, hubris person, mocking how rich he is and insinuating his power onto people that did not have as much money as him and having the connections he had with some of his friends. Mockingly, Mr. Epstein stated when the world found out he had been traveling with Clinton that “If my ultimate goal was to stay private, traveling with Clinton was a bad move on the chessboard. I recognize that now. But you know what? Even Kasparov makes them. You move on” (Thomas 1). Even after he is in big danger of a scandal happening, he just shrugs it off like its nothing when something this big would be the end of highly thought of celebrities anywhere. This statement and actions just go on to prove that he is a proud worry less person who knew that no one could stop him not even the government due to his power he had obtained through connections and endless amounts of money.
The most Notable and scariest trait of all that Jeffrey Epstein was described by many people such as journalists and close friends and victims of his was him being described or having sociopathic tendencies with these young women and girls. Sociopaths are defined by psychologists as people who break rules often and continuously and lack emotion or guilt for what they did. They manipulate for their own self need because they can’t help it. One of his victims stated about Epstein “He could feel the energy very clearly.... because he’s a sociopath, he would manipulate that for his own needs” (Grigoriadis 1). To satisfy his very hubris ego he feeds off his sex trafficking victims because of the sociopathic tendencies he keeps doing the same thing repeatedly. It was a dangerous attribute because someone who does not feel emotion cannot feel guilt, remorse for what they did to these young girls, destroying their childhoods and traumatizing them for the rest of their life. But this is the biggest one piece of evidence in this conspiracy theory that is worrisome because a sociopath cannot stop what they have been doing. It’s a tendency that they cannot break. So, while he was in jail, he was not able to fulfill his needs to have sex with these young women, so he needed to get out of jail and he had the recourses to get out of that situation, which leads to many different questions on his reasoning behind the suicide.
The suicide case of Jeffrey Epstein had two conspiracy theories surrounding it when he was found hanging from the ceiling in his high-security cell. One possible theory and the most popular is that Epstein did not actually commit suicide but was murdered and staged to look like a suicide.
The primary conspiracy theory is that Epstein was murdered in his cell and did not commit suicide. When the body was looked at by a professional pathologist pointed out that “In a hanging, the arteries and the blood vessels, the veins are both clogged off and the person is pale. The face is pale, with a manual strangulation, there’s a backup of a pressure and the little capillaries can rupture, and they’re best seen in the eye” (Lee & Steinbach 1). The information given by the pathologist is alarming because he points out that only in strangulation the blood vessels rupture in the eyes, and when looking at Jeffrey Epstein's corpse there are numerous ruptures in his eyelids. Epstein being murdered is not an invalid thought either because he was being cracked down on at the time by the FBI and the people, he knew did not want the information that he knew about them to get leaked so they murdered him.
Jeffrey Epstein was a mystery in his life, secrets, money, and even in death, he was a mystery. The case may never be switched over from suicide to murder, or maybe it will. But for now, his death and reasoning will be labeled as a suicide and a mystery for the public to uncover.
Jeffrey Epstein's case goes on to be ruled as a suicide due to the way he was found in his jail cell. It will go on to be a mystery about his motives behind suicide, or if the evidence was overlooked and, it was a murder. His case developed one conspiracy theory:
1.Was Jeffrey Epstein murdered by one of his old acquaintances who Epstein had dirt on?
Even though the evidence points to him being strangled by the hands of someone, the case will go on to be ruled as a suicide by hanging
